Chiropractor Sharpsburg GA – Eating at Night is Unhealthful for Body & Mind

In this weeks video health tip, Dr. Samir Hajariwala, director of Crossroads Chiropractic, takes a look at how eating at night contributes to obesity and diabetes.

A recent study found that eating your evening meal late at night was not only associated with obesity and diabetes, but was also found to increase blood sugar, insulin and cortisol levels, while reducing the ability to remove and utilize fat.

Other studies have also shown eating right before bedtime causes fat to be deposited in fat cells.

Studies continue to support eating most of your food in the morning and less in the evening helps people to lose weight.

You can improve your overall health by eating your last meal of the day no later than 6 PM, consuming a nutritious diet, regular exercise, quality sleep, a positive attitude, and regular chiropractic care.

Remember you and your family can be as healthy as can be, and it’s never too soon to start receiving chiropractic care. Your best source for everything health is your chiropractor.  It’s never too early or late to see the team at Crossroads Chiropractic.
